For quite a few years, we have purchased either a 1/4 or a 1/2 a cow from a friend of Paul's who lives in Roosevelt.  Sometimes the Spencers don't want enough to make up the rest of cow #2 or cow #3, so I get to offer some to friends.  This year, I took a picture of our freezer to try and show how much 1/4 is.  The picture doesn't really give you a good scale.  But it is a reminder of how much we love the fresh, good beef we get every year.  I cannot eat beef anywhere else because I am spoiled with the delicious flavor of what we get.

Sunday morning, Ellie had the idea to make perler beads for her Primary class.  She quickly thought of everyone's names, and made 6 boy things and 6 girl things -- all original patterns.  My favorites are the eyeball and the magic wand.  Then she packaged them up and brought them with her to church to give away.
Alien, Boat, Raspberry, Sun
Robot, Rocket Ship, Rainbow, Magic Wand
Turtle, Eyeball, Flower, Grape

Perler Bead Princess

Ellie has been on a perler bead binge today, and she made so many creations.  Some following a pattern (the princesses) and some of her own imagining (all the rest).

These Are A Few of Lu's Favorite Things

Some of Lynlee's favorite toys (and the picture is by Lynlee, too).

Christmas Card Photo Shoot

This is the winner that will go on the Christmas card this year.  Such darling girls!

Making Mashed Potatoes

Cece sat on the counter and stirred the potato pot, and pulled the potatoes out with spoon, and splashed them back in the pot, for over an hour.  She was completely soaked through by the time she was done! And she managed to do it all while jabbering on her phone.

Brush Teeth

Cece loves to brush her teeth.  She will brush 3-7 times a day.  And sometimes she will let me put a clip or a headband in her hair, where it lasts approximately 7.2 minutes.  This morning, she put her headband in all by herself and wore it for about half an hour.

Fun Times

Cece likes to stand on a stool by me and get ready in the morning.  And sometimes, you just need to go swimming in the big tub.

Making Pancakes... always more fun with awesome helpers like these!

Ya gotta have popcorn when you're watching a movie for Family Fun Night.  I think it's a rule.

Birth Mom Love

This is one of the amazing benefits of open adoption.  Ellie was playing a game on my phone while home sick from school and decided to text Tayler.  Tayler immediately texted back a sweet message.  I love to watch these two interact and share love with each other.

Being sick is no fun.  All three girls have been throwing up and running fevers.  Cece was on her 4th bath before 7 a.m.  Poor girls!

Morning Ritual

On school days, Greg drives Ellie to school.  They love those 5 precious minutes in the car.  Lynnie and Cece, after giving hugs and kisses, stand by the door way and wave.  Cece will blow kisses to the car, and Lynnie will usually yell something like, "good-bye, elephant!"  Greg will roll down his window and wave back and yell something like, "good-bye, giraffe!"  The morning is not complete without this ritual.

Ellie's Talk

Ellie was asked to give a talk in this year's Primary Program.  She was the youngest of the three children who give talks, and she did an awesome job.  She wrote her talk all by herself.

In my family, we like to go to church and listen to Sacrament Meeting.  When we go home at night we read our scriptures.  When we go to bed, we say our prayers.  This is how we show Heavenly Father that we love Him.  I love my family.  I love my Primary class and my teachers.  I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Birthday Party at the Aquarium

So much fun to celebrate Lynlee's birthday at the aquarium with her birth dad and his girlfriend.

Daniel Tiger

Ellie knows how to download apps.  She is really good about deleting an app she doesn't want to play any more and then going to the "purchased-not on this ipad" part of the app store to "record" something different.  One app that has stuck around for a long time is the Daniel Tiger app.  All three girls like to play it.

Alarm Clock

Ellie loves to be independent.  One way is that she sets her own alarm clock for school mornings for 7:06.  She wakes up, goes potty, gets dressed, brushes her hair and teeth, and comes out all ready for breakfast.

Snow Day

The first really great, playable snow happened today!  Lynnie was over-the-moon excited, but Cece was not sure what to think.  We ran out to play at 8 in the morning, because Lynnie was so concerned that it would melt later that day.  And she was right -- it did!

ASL Story Time

We love going to ASL Story Time.  The PIP program hosts it at the Barnes and Noble in Orem.  Kristi, the play group leader, and Ariana, our deaf mentor, trade off months.  They read stories to us and Lynnie usually talks me into buying her a book.

We are eating a lot more vegetables around here (aiming for 10+ servings a day).  I love the zucchini noodles I get when we eat at The Pizza Factory, so I bought a spiralizer on amazon to give it a try at home.  I used one of our last zucchinis from the garden, and it turned out great.  I made a mock alfredo sauce with cauliflower (half of the recipe here) and we Greg and I had a delicious dinner.  The girls had regular noodles...

Lynlee is 5 Years Old

Happy birthday, Lulu!  You are my pal and my constant companion.  I am so lucky to be your mama.

Saying Good-Bye

We love {M} and loved seeing where she lives and meeting her husband.  It was sad to say good-bye, but we know we will get to see her again.

Quick Trip

We took a quick, overnight trip to Mountain Home, Idaho to visit {M}.  We haven't seen her for a couple of years and it was wonderful to get caught up in person!  When we got to town, the first thing we did was to check in to our hotel. Ellie and Lynnie immediately made their bed.

Bubble Machine

We picked up a bubble machine for the nursery, and of course we had to test it out.  I am interested to see how Cece will do sharing with her friends, since she didn't want to share with her sister.

Story Time at the Library

I managed to remember to check the library's website and sign up for tickets for Story Time.  The girls had a great time dancing and signing the songs.  Cece especially liked that better than listening to the stories.

Be Careful

Ellie almost fell asleep on the couch like this after dinner.  Greg was telling her here that if she did fall asleep, she could fall backwards and really hurt herself.

Monday, November 2, 2015

Blowing bubbles and playing outside with mom is the best thing to do on a warm November afternoon while big sister is at school and little sister is napping.

Sunday, November 1, 2015

These two have serious addictions to their cups and bottles.  Greg and I talk often about weaning them off, but then I think of the hard days ahead and I wimp out.  Again.  And they are just so cute, all snuggly at 7 a.m., drinking milk (Cece) and water (Lulu).
