Milk from Costco

How many cute girls can fit on one milk box from Costco?  Two -- apparently!

A New Seat

During yoga, Lynnie decided it was more fun to roll up in her mat, and Cece decided that made the perfect seat.

Pretty Nails

I used to paint Ellie and Lynnie's nails all. the time.  But we have gotten out of the habit.  Lynnie had the idea to paint nails today, and so Cece got her first ever manicure.  She was more patient than I expected, and let me get her nails dry before moving.

Family Movie Night

There is almost nothing better than being clean and in comfy pj's, snuggled up with popcorn, to watch a movie as a family.  Tonight's pick?  Johnny Lingo (the full-length movie).

Chores

The big girls are getting really good at helping with chores, especially Ellie.  Ellie cleaned all three upstairs bathrooms by herself, mopped the floors, put away her laundry, vacuumed the family room, and helped pick everything up.  Lynnie picked up, put away laundry, and helped me fold.  She did a great job matching Daddy's socks and folding kitchen towels.

Date with Daddy

Cece and I are still recovering from our colds, so we stayed home and had a dance party watching Dancing With The Stars.  Ellie and Lynnie got to go on a date with Daddy to a bbq for his BNI group.  There were bounce houses and a big park, and lots of yummy food.  Uncle Todd was there too, which made it even more fun.  And they talked Daddy into stopping for french fries and a McFlurry on the way home.  He texted me these gems along with the picture:

I am such a pushover when they ask so sweetly.

"This is so refreshing!"  Said guess who?

I just like dipping.  Guess you have to have fries.

I love you, it's a beautiful day.  I love it up here on this chair.

"When I grow up, I'm going to work here."  "Good idea, me too."

ASL Playgroup

I signed Cece up for an ASL playgroup, sponsored by the Utah School for the Deaf.  Lynnie is super excited to play with Sister Meiners and Paisley while Cece and I go to Orem every Thursday morning.  We came for the first day, and were the only ones there.  Kristi, the coordinator (director?), said that usually there are more children, but it was really fun to be by ourselves.  Kristi wears hearing aids and I think she could hear me, because when I was really struggling coming up with a sign, she would jump in and help me out.  I learned a lot of words, and know I have a long way to go.

It was structured like preschool, with free play, circle time, story & song time, arts & crafts, snack time, and wrap up.  Cece's favorite part?  Probably that she got a fruit roll-up and a juice box during snack time.  She was loving all of that sugar!  My favorite part was our last few minutes, because Cece really opened up.  There was a giant rug in the room with lots of pictures on it, and she started running all over, hitting a picture, and signing it.  We started playing a game where Kristi or I would sign "WHERE BOAT?" or "WHERE CAT?" and Cece would run to the square, stand on the picture, and sign the word.  She was giggling and being so smart and funny.

Ellie at Lunch

Grandma came to play with Lynnie and Cece so I could volunteer at the Book Fair at RA.  After my shift was over, I peaked in the lunch room and found Ellie.  She was so excited that I popped in to see her!  It was fun for me to see her in her element, surrounded by her friends.

Thumbs Up

Utilizing her new skill, Cece gave her big sisters a thumbs up whenever she caught their eyes at gymnastics class.

Thank you, Mr Postman

I am not sure if this is official Post Office policy, or just the policy of our postman, but I love it!  It is always easier to get our mail when the front is left open, and it was nice to just collect the package at the same time, and not have to go all the way to the front door to get it.  I am glad that our postman recognizes what a safe neighborhood we live in, and that we trust our neighbors not to mess with our deliveries.

Ponytail

Cece was styling with a ponytail and bow at church today.  Maybe it was the dress (Lynnie's favorite that she wore every single Sunday when she was 3 -- and Cece is only 20 months old!), but Cece looked so grown up today.  Where has my baby gone?

Here's Ellie wearing the dress as a Sunbeam and Lulu wearing it while walking to church.

We had so much fun playing at the Renaissance Academy Fall carnival.

More Free Cucumbers

More free cucumbers from Miss Sheryl, and today Cece also took a few bites.  Yum!

Riding Bikes

As soon as we said good-bye to Daddy and Ellie this morning as they left for school and work, Lynnie wanted to ride bikes in the garage.  Cece was all over that idea.

Wind

We got out to play today and it was so windy!  After Cece enthusiastically signed WIND for a minute, we abandoned the great outdoors and waited in the van.

Pamper Mommy

Vanilla Almond Super Rich Body Cream - True Blue® Spa - Bath & Body Works
Sometimes Lynnie has the great idea to rub lotion on my feet.  She is so sincere and diligent and will talk to me as she rubs extreme amounts of lotion around.  She has even branched out into putting the extra on my knees and elbows.  She knows how to pamper Mommy!

Oatmeal

Cece wanted to eat oatmeal, just like her big sister.  Normally, we just give her bites out of Ellie's bowl, but today, Cece needed her own bowl and spoon.

It's Potty Time

Greg was getting Cece ready for her bath, and she kept on pointing at the toilet.  So he set her on the potty seat, and she happily entertained us all for a few minutes.

Drinkers

This has been a rough week, but we are getting through it.  Lynnie has agreed to the plan, albeit rather reluctantly, that she can only have milk in her "milk cup" once when she wakes up and once before she goes to sleep.  She can have as much water as she wants, or milk in a regular cup.  There was much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth for a couple of afternoons as blood sugars dipped, but I think we are all finally adjusting.

Sister Love

Cece would not stop giving Lynnie hugs.  It was so cute!

Prayer

Little Miss Mimic will now fold her arms, bow her head, and squeeze her eyes closed when it is prayer time.  At least for a couple of seconds!

And yes, as {R} told me when I texted her these pictures, it was not very reverent of me to sneak my camera out, but I just couldn't help myself.  Cece is so cute!

Shoes

Cece has discovered how fun it is to put on other people's shoes.

Color Wonder

Tapping into Cece's desire to draw on everything, all of the time, I have shown her where the Color Wonder supplies are stored.  She now, multiple times a day, will open the drawer, get out her markers, and make beautiful pictures.

Cucumber

When we went to Let's Play Music, Miss Sheryl had a basket of free cucumbers on her porch.  Lulu was so excited to take home a cucumber and eat it for lunch.

Dear Amy

Ellie got a great idea to write Amy a letter.  She drew a picture, had me help her spell some words, and took a picture of it all by herself.

Night Night

This is one of my favorite scenes:  Ellie and Lynlee are snuggled in their beds with their reading lights on and a stack of books apiece.  And they just have to keep whispering to each other.

Gymnastics

We go straight from school to gymnastics, which gets us there about 10 minutes early.  The girls entertained themselves by taking pictures, although Cece isn't always on board with the taking pictures idea...
