We have really enjoyed dance class this spring. It was a great group of girls in the class. And perhaps the best part was having a car pool with our neighbors. Ellie and Lynnie always seemed to do better in class on the weeks that Jason drove...

We spent a few last hours with Amy before she was headed back to Oman, and it was wonderful. She came to Kindermusik with us (and got to meet Tayler & Piper), had lunch, and hung out for a while. Amy is really good at working out the knots in my neck, and after watching her do that me, Lynnie wanted to give her a massage.
Lynnie is wearing her cape, just like Elsa.

We had an absolutely crazy windstorm last night. Luckily, our only casualties was our bbq grill blowing over and our little blue kiddie pool disappearing. Lots of neighbors had fences blown down, trampolines missing, windows shattered, and things like that. There was still a little lingering wind by the afternoon, so we covered Cece's face with her blanket as we were walking out of dance class. She didn't appreciate that much.

This morning, as I was struggling to brush Lynnie's hair (after spraying on our usual assortment of water, conditioner, and detangler), Lynnie asked, "can I get my hair cut?" You betcha! She wanted it to be short, but not too short, and decided on shoulder length. Ellie also wanted hers cut shorter so it will be cooler as the weather gets warmer.

Pops had the idea to snap some quick pictures after Grandma Great's graveside service, before he left to run some errands and the rest of us went back to the church for the funeral luncheon.

For story time tonight, the girls picked their "special books" to read. I have a Shutterfly photo book for each of them for their first year of life. I plan on doing a book a year for each of them, and someday I will get that project caught up. Ellie actually read of the captions (impressive!) and Lynnie was very excited to see a picture of Grandma Great with her as a baby.

I managed to get about 80 minutes outside over a 4 hour period, where, in between situating girls and keeping everyone happy, I weeded most of one of the grow boxes.
For about 20 minutes during the day, the 2 youngest in the family looked like this:
Yard work with kids is fun!

Lynnie is slowly deciding to eat less of her unusual foods--no more dirt, no more crayons, no more chalk, and no more flour. I finally convinced her that eating too much flour was giving her diarrhea, so she gave it up. The last of her fun foods is banana peels.
Yep, the peel.
She eats the brown part off of the bottom.
And she usually wants 2-3 before she's done.
Sometimes I can get her to eat a few bites of the inside. Usually I just eat the actual banana for her.
Sure love this girl!

The best weekend of the year is General Conference weekend! Greg is home with us all day on Sunday (which always feels like a miracle) and we get to soak in family time and words from the prophets. The girls helped us make a big breakfast. We tried out a new recipe for buttermilk biscuits (OK, but a little dry Alton Brown. A little dry.) and also made sausage gravy and eggs. Ellie loved cutting out the biscuits, and she ate most of hers. Lynnie wasn't a real fan but ate all of her eggs (her favorite). And Cece fell asleep in the bouncer.

Greg and I were supposed to meet another couple for dinner, but the couple had something come up last minute. I already had a babysitter for the big girls, so we grabbed Tammy and headed out anyway. We were discussing where to go, and had decided on Texas Roadhouse. Kind Aunt very genuinely asked, "wait, will it be too loud for Cece in there?"
Ummmm, she's deaf.
It usually is, however, too loud for me!
