Amy packing for Shanghai

The girls and I went to my mom's house this afternoon in the middle of a blizzard (what's that?  it was merely a snowstorm?  it felt like a blizzard...) to see Amy again before she flew west.  By the time I remembered to pull out the camera, most of the items were already put in Amy's suitcases.

Christmas is officially over...

...when I take down the Christmas cards.  I have loved looking at the pictures of my friends and family, but it is time to clean up all of the decorations.  Until next year!

Busy beaver

Driving home from Montana, and we stopped for lunch at Famous Dave's BBQ. Ellie enjoyed her french fries.

Frosty Fresh Market

Elizabeth and I went shopping sans children and found this cool display. A great few hours with a great friend!

We have the nicest neighbors in the world!

Love all the hand-me-downs from our awesome neighbor. Lynlee will be exceptionally well dressed!

Ward Christmas Party

What an amazing party! I think the entire ward was there (they estimated 370 people would attend). The entire cultural hall was transformed, we sat with fun people, and we had a great time playing with our friends (and watching our friends play with Ellie and Lynlee). Ellie has some new tricks that she was happy to show off. She likes to shake, freeze, sway, and kick. And tell us what a monkey says.

Just Chillling

Davis was sick last week, and so we did not get together to play.  Ellie missed him, and I missed Elizabeth!  We played today, and Ellie would not stop touching Davis.  Davis appreciated her loving on him.  No, really.

Annual Christmas Party

Tonight was the annual Christmas party, where we get together with Greg's family and play the pick-a-present-or-steal-someone-else's-present game.  There is a long standing tradition of the most special "gift" being a Hooters mug (introduced by Kyle?  I can't remember), and Greg was the lucky recipient this year.  Now I have to remember to bring it back next year.

Shockingly, no one stole it from him...

Cream Cheese Chicken

We are starting to find foods Ellie will eat.  Lately she has been digging cheddar flavored Chex Mix (hey, that cereal is vitamin fortified, right?) and Cream Cheese Chicken.  Tonight at dinner she couldn't shovel that chicken and rice into her mouth fast enough.  I love that she got all messy!

So big!

Lynlee is not a big fan of the car seat or the car.  If it is too close to when she ate, she spits up.  If it is too close to when she wants to eat again, she cries.  Needless to say, errands are tricky to schedule.

Shopping Excursion

Elizabeth took me to Sam's Club today so that I could get "On the Border" tortilla chips, which I think are my favorite tortilla chips ever (that are mass produced). I also found some Christmas presents for Lynlee. And Ellie loved riding by Davis. Davis shared his pretzels, and Ellie fed them to him.

Cliff came over this morning to get measurements and talk about finishing our basement.  Ellie was so taken with him!  She could tell he loves little girls (Cami is only a couple of months older than her).  Since we just paid for Lynlee's adoption, our plans will be moving a litle more slowly than anticipated.  But I would rather have Lynlee than a finished basement any day!
